Ernie Bird is a composer, writer, actor, and singer, and has been with TRW since March 2023, heading the Music Department. He holds an MFA degree in Musical Theatre Writing from NYU Tisch School of the Arts, where he was granted a full scholarship, and is a graduate of Berklee College of Music. Born and raised in Ukraine, he composed the music for “RISE,” which premiered Off-Broadway at the Kaufman Music Center in 2022. He is also a co-founder and producer of the critically acclaimed podcast “What Will She Do Next,” featured in The New York Times. His autobiographical musical, “The Ukrainian War Diary,” debuted at the National Opera Center in February 2023. Currently, Ernie is as a composer/lyricist at the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop, and is a guest composer at Columbia University’s MFA Playwriting program. As an actor, his international voice-over work includes: A Goofy Movie (Max; Walt Disney Pictures), Hercules (Walt Disney Pictures), and Bad Teacher (Columbia Pictures). He is a proud member of the Dramatists Guild.
