Greg Pierce

Greg pierce is a playwright, lyricist, and fiction writer. His play SLOWGIRL was the inaugural play of Lincoln Center Theaterís Claire Tow Theater. Subsequent productions include Steppenwolf Theatre and the Geffen Playhouse. His stage adaptation of Haruki Murakamiís novel, The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle, written with director Stephen Earnhart, premiered at the Edinburgh International Festival. His second musical with John Kander, KID VICTORY, is in development at Vineyard Theatre. His stories have been published in literary journals such as New England Review, Avery, and Conjunctions. He has received fellowships from the Edward F. Albee Foundation and the Djerassi Institute, and is under commission from Lincoln Center Theater, Second Stage Theatre, Manhattan Theatre Club/Sloan Foundation, and Vermont Stage Company.  A graduate of Oberlin College, Greg received his MFA from Warren Wilson College.  He is a member of the Dramatists Guild and lives in New York City.  Thank you, family.
