Michael Albanese

A native of Marietta, GA, Michael first discovered his love for storytelling in his high school drama department. Right out of high school, he moved to New York City (his birthplace) to pursue a life in the arts. Theatrically, his award-winning death-row drama, Red Herring, was produced in New York with the late Thomas Jefferson Byrd & Shane McRae. He also served as Assistant Director to Mark Brokaw on the Broadway musical production of John Waters’ Cry Baby. Michael wrote and produced Thirst, a film starring Melanie Griffith, Josh Pence, and Gale Harold. He also writes poetry, short stories, nonfiction, and children’s books. His debut novel, Salt, will be published this year. After many years of adventuring in New York City and Los Angeles, with brief spells in Chicago and New Zealand, Michael relocated back to Georgia to help pioneer a creative community connected to Trilith Film Studios. He loves coffee, basketball, and all art forms. Michael lives in Atlanta with his wife, actor Wynn Everett, and their two daughters.
